Course Overview
The purpose of this course is to help participants coordinate community and voluntary disaster resources before, during and after a disaster. Working with voluntary organizations is essential to a community’s response to and recovery from a disaster. While local, state, tribal, territorial, and federal governments provide critical and necessary assistance, the resources of voluntary organizations—including private and nonprofit resources—make up an important part of the recovery process.

This course
is intended for those
who coordinate with voluntary agencies, donors, and private sector partners at
the State, Local, Tribal, and Territorial (SLTT) level within the National
Incident Management System (NIMS) Incident Command structure.
