COVID-19 Information for National Emergency Training Center Students

Note: effective July 28, 2021, all Federal employees, onsite contractors, and visitors, regardless of vaccination status or level of COVID transmission in your local area, are required to wear a mask inside all DHS workspaces and Federal buildings.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency continues to monitor the guidance of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as it relates to COVID-19. To mitigate the spread of COVID-19, the CDC is encouraging organizations to promote social distancing, hold meetings via videoconferencing, reduce non-essential travel, and adjust or postpone events and gatherings. We also continue to evaluate the local and national situation and will provide regular updates.

Students will be notified in advance concerning the status of their on-campus course offering.

We thank you for your understanding, and we invite you to visit our extensive catalog of Independent Study Courses as well as classroom courses available by virtual delivery.

LCMS Training

Developer Training

EMI has many Course development/revisions projects currently ongoing within the LCMS. Before being granted access to the LCMS you must first have an active project (contract) with EMI and have undergone LCMS Developer training.

If you are a new developer and would like to complete the LCMS Developer Training, please reach out to FEMA-EMI-LCMS@fema.dhs.gov so that you may be provided with a student account to complete the activities.

If you have previously completed developer training and would like to review the course, feel free to access the link above at your own convenience.

Reviewer Training

All content review must occur within the LCMS. Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) will be provided “Reviewer” accounts within the system. A reviewer account will allow SMEs to view specific courses in the system, add review comments to the course, and make inline edits. These comments/edits will need to be adjudicated by a developer. Reviewer Training takes approximately 30 minutes. If you have a list of SMEs that will require access to the system, please contact: FEMA-EMI-LCMS@fema.dhs.gov to schedule training.

Upcoming Reviewer Training Dates:

  • Every Monday at 10am Eastern Time
