On April 1st, 2015 the Emergency Management Institute (EMI) will begin to use the FEMA Student Identification (SID) number when submitting your Independent Study (IS) final exam. The purpose of this course is to provide guidance for Emergency Managers and implementers of children’s programs about meeting the unique needs that arise among children as a result of a disaster or emergency.
The course includes the following lessons:
At the conclusion of this course, you should be able to create, update, or revise an Emergency Operations Plan for your community or organization to effectively address the unique needs of children in disasters.
