Independent Study Courses and Exams

Independent Study Exams require a FEMA Student Identification (SID) Number. If you do not yet have a SID, register for one today.

Student Portal

If you experience difficulties accessing the Student Portal, please visit the FEMA SID website , log in and check your profile for accuracy. If you are having trouble accessing your SID profile, contact the SID Help Desk .

If you notice discrepancies with your transcript, it is possible that you may have course completions listed under two separate SID numbers. This can be remedied by merging SID accounts using the following process:

  • First contact the SID Help Desk for assistance with merging SIDs into a single account.
  • Contact the ISP Help Desk at (301) 447-1200 or [email protected] for assistance with merging course completion data into a single student profile.

FEMA Student Identification (SID) Number

If you have forgotten your SID, go to the Retrieve Your FEMA SID web page to have your SID sent to your registered email address.
