The Federal Emergency Management Agency continues to monitor the guidance of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as it relates to COVID-19. To mitigate the spread of COVID-19, the CDC is encouraging organizations to promote social distancing, hold meetings via videoconferencing, reduce non-essential travel, and adjust or postpone events and gatherings. This course provides an overview of Fire Management Assistance Grant eligibility. By the end of the course, State, Local, Tribal, and Territorial prospective Applicants and Recipients will be able to understand all aspects of the Fire Management Assistance Grant Program.

Course Objectives:

  • Identify what types of assistance can be provided through the Fire Management Assistance Grant.
  • Summarize the criteria, steps, and sequencing of key activities needed to apply for a Fire Management Assistance Grant.
  • Explain the documentation requirements that will need to be incorporated into a Fire Management
  • Assistance Grant.
