Course Overview

The goal of this course is to provide participants and instructors with knowledge of FEMA/NETC/NDEMU requirements for conduct when attending a National Disaster & Emergency Management University learning event.

Course Objectives:

  • Demonstrate an understanding of FEMA Pub 1 and Core Values
  • Apply the FEMA core values (compassion, fairness, integrity, and respect) to behavior while attending NDEMU learning events.
  • Contribute to an environment that enables socially acceptable behavior and cooperative relationships with other participants and instructors
  • Apply FEMA, NETC, and NDEMU Conduct policies to behavior in NETC learning events.
  • Exercise appropriate behavior in the NDEMU learning events.
  • Practice effective communication and interactions to facilitate learning.
  • Protect the dignity and equality for all participants and instructors
