Program Implementation and Management

In order to implement a Federal grant program, recipients must periodically draw down their obligated funds. A robust financial management system must be put in place to track accounts and expenditures. Furthermore, recipients must maintain internal controls for financial management.

When sourcing third-party good or services in the implementation of a grant program, recipients must follow the Federal procurement guidelines outlined in 2 CFR 200.317-326.

Finally, over the course of a Federal grant's lifespan (i.e., the Period of Performance), recipients are subject to audits and periodic monitoring and must provide regularly scheduled reporting.
