National Incident Management System
On Sunday Oct. 23rd, 2011 through Friday Oct. 28th EMI experienced technical difficulties with the training.fema.gov IS exam process system. EMI apologizes for the inconvenience this issue may have caused you. If you submitted an exam during the dates mentioned above, we ask that you resubmit your exam/s. If you still do not receive your certificate after resubmitting your exam and waiting at least 1 business day, please contact the Independent Study office at independent.study@fema.dhs.gov
EMI replaced its Incident Command System (ICS) curricula with courses that meet the requirements specified in the National Incident Management System (NIMS). EMI developed the new courses collaboratively with the National Wildfire Coordinating Group (NWCG), the United States Fire Administration and the United States Department of Agriculture.
Below are the new NIMS compliant courses follow NIMS guidelines:
