The goal of this course is to provide practical steps you can take to prepare for emergencies that could threaten your home, workplace, and community. This course is intended for Federal employees living and working outside of the National Capital Region.
The first lesson focuses on the importance of personal emergency preparedness and its relationship to your professional responsibilities as a Federal employee. The second lesson introduces the four steps to personal emergency preparedness: Be Informed, Make a Plan, Build a Kit, and Get Involved. The last lesson reinforces the concepts learned in the previous lessons by applying the four steps of emergency preparedness to a given scenario.
