Course Overview

This course serves as an overview of fundamental Benefit-Cost Analysis concepts and theory and is the framework and prerequisite for the classroom, field or facilitated distance learning Benefit-Cost Analysis course.

Course Objectives:

The objectives of this course are to teach basic BCA theory, which includes defining benefits and costs and the benefit-cost ratio (BCR), and to review fundamental flood concepts.

Primary Audience

The primary audience for this course is Federal, State, and tribal hazard mitigation staff, applicants/grantees, subapplicants/subgrantees and personnel who are involved in the grant application development process and provide technical assistance.
